1. Start with your goal, not their service list
Decide what you need first: more calls, more store visits, online sales or a stronger brand. A good agency will ask about your margins and customers before recommending channels.
2. Ask who owns the accounts
Your Google Ads account, Meta ad account, Google Business Profile, analytics and website should all be in your name. If an agency runs everything from its own accounts, you lose your history when you leave.
3. Look at how they measure
Ask how they track calls, forms and WhatsApp enquiries, and ask to see a test conversion. Reports full of impressions and likes without enquiries or sales are a warning sign.
4. Check for local understanding
Kerala buyers search in English and Malayalam, rely heavily on WhatsApp and check Google Maps reviews before visiting. An agency that understands this will plan campaigns, content and reviews around it.
5. Compare proposals fairly
- What exactly is included each month, and how many hours or deliverables does it represent?

- Is there a contract lock-in, and what are the exit terms?
- Who will work on your account, and how often will you speak to them?
